Pastor Sally’s Devotional 11/4

| November 4, 2020

Dear Friends,

What a night last night!  I stayed up too late watching election returns, and I imagine many of you did as well.  I am tired today and uncertain.  We still don’t know the final result and don’t know when we might know.  Even when we do know, I suspect there are going to be a lot of disappointed people.  I think a large part of the electorate had hoped for different results.

In the midst of all of this uncertainty, I got up early to lead men’s Bible study this morning and discovered as we talked together about God’s involvement in our world and in our lives that my perspective was shifting.  The day looked a little brighter.  This has happened for me before.  Sometimes the weigh of the world crushes us, but as we refocus on the things of God, we are reminded there is another who holds our lives and our world… even when we can’t quite see it.

Here’s a song for today.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNagMjn1zXg

Peace be with you,

Sally
