Pastor Sally’s Devotional 8/22

| August 24, 2020

Dear Friends,

This little coaster sits on my desk in my “home study.”  Actually my home study is my guest room and my desk is my sewing table that has been taken over by my computer.  Such is the current state of affairs….  Anyway, this little coast caught my attention.  My middle son, Austin, gave me a set of these several years ago.  I think he thought his mother didn’t relax enough.  Hmm…  he might be on to something there.  In fact this week, one of the elders on session sent me a kind wish that I would enjoy my vacation time.  Then he said he was planning to enjoy my vacation time too.  What does that mean?  😊

So it’s time to relax.  This is my last daily devotion until Sept 8 when I will return to my “home office” and open up my email and see what you all have been up to.  In them mean, please know I won’t forget you.  It’s not possible.  You are too memorable!  I will pray for you and ask that you pray for me.

Paul writes:  “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”  (Eph. 3: 14 – 19)

The Lord be with you,

Pr. Sally
